Green Angel Ventures provides unique specialist early stage climate investment. Unlike any other investor in the UK, our investment selection is based on a company’s ability to reduce carbon emissions, or remove carbon from the atmosphere. Our portfolio has grown to 43 companies, the impact of which has been the reduction of 158,000 tonnes of carbon-equivalent emissions to date.
Our investment decisions are informed by a group of more than 300 specialist investor members in our angel syndicate. Our members bring their professional experience and practical working backgrounds to help inform and investigate the investment opportunities we pursue. We typically invest in around 7-10 new companies each year, the other 800+ funding applications having been thoroughly investigated and filtered out by our staff and specialist members.

Every six months, we publish our climate impact report. This shows continual growth in the emissions saved or avoided by our portfolio. We are fully transparent with our calculation methodology, and only report real achieved impact, not projections or forecasts. To date, we have saved 158,000 tonnes of CO2e.
